What does Sama do?
Sama labels and checks data that AI developers already hold. Its homepage lists image, video, 3D point cloud and text annotation, human-verified data validation, model evaluation and Sama GenAI services for foundation models, including preference ranking and factuality work. It says it has helped teams scale since 2008 and built careers for more than 15,000 associates.
Sama's careers page lists offices in San Francisco, Montréal, San José in Costa Rica, Nairobi, Gulu and Kampala, and The Hague. It describes Sama as one of the first AI companies certified as a B Corp.
