Sell My Data To AI

Data manifest generator for AI data licensing

Fill in what you hold, system by system. The generator builds a manifest in the structure buyers ask for and lets you download it as Markdown or CSV.

In short

The data manifest generator builds the inventory AI buyers read before they ask for a sample or make an offer. You enter each source system with its record type, count, date range and formats, then languages, personal data, de-identification method, exclusions and rights evidence. The tool builds the manifest as Markdown and CSV, with blank fields marked so you can see what a buyer would still ask for.

Key takeaways

  • A data manifest lists sources, date ranges, record counts, formats, languages, exclusions, de-identification method and rights evidence for one exact version of a dataset.
  • Count records from the export you will deliver, after exclusions and de-identification, not from admin dashboards.
  • Manifest accuracy is one of the eight checks in our seller vetting standard: the counts, dates, systems and languages must match what is delivered.
  • The generator runs in your browser, and the Markdown and CSV files are built on your device.

How the tool works

  1. 1

Add one row for each system you export from, with its record type, count, counting unit, date range and formats.

  2. 2

Record languages, total size and gaps in coverage, then personal data, de-identification method, exclusions and rights evidence.

  3. 3

The preview updates as you type. Blank fields show as [Not yet provided].

  4. 4

Download the manifest as Markdown for sharing or CSV for spreadsheets. Add SHA-256 file hashes before you send it.

Frequently asked questions

What is a data manifest?
A data manifest is a structured inventory of a dataset: what it contains, where each part came from, how much there is, what was removed and what rights attach to it. Buyers use it to judge fit and price before they see a sample. Our guide on how to build a data manifest explains each field.
Should I use the Markdown or the CSV file?
Use the Markdown file as the manifest you share with buyers and attach to a term sheet or license, since it reads as a document. Use the CSV file to sort and total sources in a spreadsheet, or to load the manifest into a buyer's intake system. The CSV has one row per source system, with the dataset-level fields repeated on each row.
Does the generator add file hashes?
The generator does not read your files, so it cannot add SHA-256 hashes. It leaves a marked placeholder in the Integrity section. Generate a hash for every delivered file with your own tools, attach the file list, and record the hash of the final manifest in the license so both sides can prove what was delivered.
Is the information I type sent to Sell My Data To AI?
No. Everything you type in the data manifest generator stays in your browser, and the files are built on your device. Nothing is sent to us or saved, so clearing or refreshing the page removes it. Download the Markdown or CSV file before you leave the page.
