Sell My Data To AI

Direct buyer

Google

Google, whose Google DeepMind unit builds the Gemini models, licenses data mainly through direct deals with platforms and publishers. Its News AI pilot program, which Google says had more than 400 participating publications in October 2026, pays news outlets for enhanced content used to develop AI features. Google publishes no program, prices or terms for companies selling operational records.

How does Google pay for AI data?

Google pays for AI data through its News AI pilot program and through individual licensing deals. A Google blog post dated October 15, 2026 says more than 400 publications worldwide take part, and that Google pays them for the delivery and use of enhanced content to develop AI features such as article overviews and audio briefings. The post names Axios, CNN, the Financial Times and Forbes among new partners and does not mention model training.

Which data deals has Google signed?

Google is the licensee in three deals in our AI data deals tracker, and two of them have a reported value.

The Spirit Airlines auction shows Google buying operational data, not only published content. The Next Web reported that booking, transaction, refund and inflight sales records were excluded, and that micro1 and Mercor also took part in the bidding.

Can your company sell data to Google?

Google has no open program that pays companies for internal records, and its News AI pilot post gives no way to apply. Outside the news pilot, any sale to Google is a direct negotiation or an auction. Our guide to selling data from a closed company covers sales like the Spirit Airlines auction.
